At the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Niles Bolton Associates conducted an assessment of the school’s existing housing stock and made recommendations on which housing facilities to renovate or replace. Together with the development team, NBA provided a phased strategy to accomplish the goal of 5,000 on-campus beds within five years. The design for each of the new 4-story buildings included a full masonry facade to match the existing facilities on campus. The new buildings were carefully located to preserve the substantial live oak trees that surround the project sites. Building amenities include 24-hour lobbies, multi-purpose spaces, game room, laundry facilities, and student lounge.
